Job Description

Role Overview: As a Credit Risk Specialist, Associate at Deutsche Bank in Mumbai, India, you will be part of the Risk division with a crucial responsibility to protect the Bank. You will work alongside nearly 4,000 employees in the division to achieve the ambition of being an industry-leading risk management organization. Your role will involve accurate and timely credit analysis, credit documentation, risk monitoring, credit portfolio management, and direct interface with stakeholders to ensure the Bank's exposure is well-understood and managed effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Undertake accurate and timely credit analysis of counterparties including Corporates, FIs, Leveraged Lending, CRE, and Project Finance by identifying business and financial risks, preparing cash flow models/forecasts, and conducting peer analysis. - Write Rating reports and credit reviews/analysis for recommendation to Senior members for approval. - Actively participate in Live trades with onshore credit officers by providing recommendations and completing credit write-ups. - Monitor and surveil assigned international portfolios, assess the impact on credit worthiness, and keep track of DB's exposure. - Support the KCP with appropriate checks and inclusion in credit reviews for various banking products. - Update limit amendments, monitor exposure, clear excess tickets, and ensure timely monitoring of covenants. - Manage your credit portfolio, assist senior decision-makers, resolve conflicting views with Business, and support in driving optimum risk/return strategies. - Participate in ad-hoc projects related to portfolio exercises, regulatory developments, sector notes, and audit exercises. - Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and policy requirements and support senior credit officers covering Southeast Asian counterparties. Qualifications Required: - Relevant professional qualifications such as MSc, MA, MBA, CA, CFA, etc. - Relevant work experience in credit underwriting/analysis for Corporates, Financial institutions, and Non-bank Financial institutions. - Strong analytical skills, knowledge of financial markets, economic/industry trends, and global risk regulations. - Good working knowledge of relevant banking products including Financing, Commercial Real Estate, Trade Finance, and Derivative products. - Ability to build strong relationships internally with stakeholders locally, regionally & globally and strong accounting background.
