Job Description

Job Overview: We are looking for a friendly and energetic Counter Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for delivering a great shopping experience. The Counter Sales Associate will be responsible for assisting customers at the counter, managing sales transactions, maintaining product displays, and providing information about products. Key Responsibilities: Customer Service: Greet and assist customers as they approach the counter, providing a warm and friendly shopping experience. Respond to customer inquiries about products, pricing, availability, and promotions. Recommend products based on customer needs and preferences, upselling where possible to maximize sales. Sales Transactions: Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system, including cash, credit, and other payment methods. Issue receipts, refunds, and exchanges as necessary, following company policies and procedures. Ensure the security of all transactions and handle cash and credit cards responsibly. Product Knowledge: Develop in-depth knowledge of the products and services offered to provide accurate information to customers. Stay updated on new products, promotions, and inventory changes. Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels at the counter, and promptly notify the store manager or inventory team when items are low. Assist in restocking shelves, organizing displays, and maintaining product presentation standards. Perform regular inventory counts and ensure product labeling is accurate. Store Maintenance: Keep the counter area clean, organized, and free of clutter, maintaining a professional appearance. Ensure that promotional displays and signage are set up correctly and updated as needed. Sales Targets and Reporting: Work towards achieving daily and monthly sales targets as set by the management. Provide feedback to the store manager about customer preferences, product demand, and any observed trends. Customer Satisfaction: Handle customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally, escalating to the manager when necessary. Create a positive and welcoming environment to encourage customer loyalty and repeat business. Qualifications and Skills: Previous experience in retail, counter sales, or customer service is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Basic math skills for handling transactions and cash management. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively. Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused attitude. Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer skills. College freshers can also apply. Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
