Counselor

We are seeking a highly motivated, empathetic, and results-driven Study Abroad Counselor to join our team. The primary role is to guide and counsel prospective students through the entire study abroad application process, from initial inquiry to final visa approval. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of international education systems, admission procedures, and visa requirements for popular study destinations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Student Counseling & Guidance

Conduct one-on-one and group counseling sessions to assess students' academic profiles, career aspirations, and financial capabilities.

Provide comprehensive, accurate, and up-to-date information on study options, institutions, courses, and application requirements for countries such as the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and others.

Assist students in selecting the most suitable course and university based on their profile and goals.

Maintain continuous engagement with students throughout the entire process to ensure a positive experience.

2. Application and Documentation Management

Guide students through the preparation and submission of university applications (Statement of Purpose/SOP, Letters of Recommendation/LOR, Essays, Resumes, etc.).

Verify the authenticity and completeness of all required documentation.

Coordinate with university representatives and admissions offices to track application status, manage offers, and handle necessary follow-ups.

3. Visa and Compliance Support

Provide expert advice on student visa procedures, documentation, and interview preparation for various countries.

Ensure all applications adhere strictly to the guidelines set by respective universities and immigration authorities.

Stay current with changes in immigration laws and educational policies.

4. Sales and Business Development

Achieve agreed-upon targets for student enrollments and visa approvals.

Participate in educational fairs, seminars, and promotional activities to attract new students.

Convert inquiries into successful enrollments by effectively communicating the value proposition of our services.

5. Administration and Reporting

Maintain detailed and accurate records of all student interactions, applications, and follow-ups in the CRM system.

Prepare regular reports on counseling activities, enrollment status, and pipeline management.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Business, Marketing, or Communications).

Experience:

Minimum 2+ years of experience in study abroad counseling, international student recruitment, or a related field.

Proven track record of successfully guiding students to secure admissions and visas for popular study destinations.

Knowledge: Excellent understanding of the education systems, universities, and visa procedures for key international markets (e.g., North America, Europe, Australia).

Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, Hindi and Telugu

Soft Skills:

Strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of empathy.

Goal-oriented, with a focus on achieving sales and conversion targets.

Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team.
