Cost Manager

You are a qualified Cost Accountant with a specialization in Costing & Accountancy, having at least 5 years of experience in the Costing field or a related role. Proficiency in accounting/Costing software is essential for this position. Your role will involve collecting, analyzing, and reporting on cost accounting data. This includes preparing standard cost reports, monitoring inventory levels, cost comparisons, product costing analysis, and tracking variances. You will be responsible for preparing budgeting reports by gathering information and data points from various departments within the organization. Examining production costs to determine the most efficient methods of production is a key aspect of your role. Accuracy in the classification of expenses under Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is crucial. Your tasks will also include reducing costs and studying product pricing to ensure the best possible return on investment for the company. Analyzing manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard prices to actual production costs will be part of your routine. Participating in physical inventory counts to ensure inventory records" accuracy and monitoring the accumulation of all direct labor, overhead, and other manufacturing-related expenses are also part of your responsibilities. You will review standard and actual costs, identify reasons for variances, and recommend cost-effective solutions. Collaboration with other departments to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting processes is essential. Your role will require a finance and costing background, an analytical mindset, and excellent problem-solving skills.
