Role & responsibilities

Role Overview:

The Corporate Finance Analyst will be based in our GIFT City office and form part of RMBs global Corporate Finance

team, working closely with colleagues across South Africa and the rest of Africa.

This role is positioned as part of our knowledge and analytics hub, providing high-quality analytical, research, and

process support to the Corporate Finance function. The incumbent will assist in the execution of transactions, market

research, financial modelling, and reporting activities, ensuring alignment with RMBs international standards and

timelines.

Its an excellent opportunity for an early-career finance professional to gain exposure to global investment banking and

corporate finance practices, while operating in a dynamic, cross-border environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide back-end analytical and process support to RMBs Corporate Finance teams across South Africa and

the African region.

• Assist in the preparation of financial models, valuations, and pitch materials for corporate advisory and

investment banking mandates.

• Conduct industry, peer, and transaction research to support business development and transaction execution.
• Consolidate and analyse financial data for management reports, dashboards, and presentations.
• Maintain deal databases, trackers, and documentation repositories to ensure data accuracy and version

control.

• Collaborate with Finance, Treasury, Legal, and Risk teams for inputs on ongoing transactions and initiatives.
• Contribute to process improvement, knowledge management, and automation of reporting templates.
• Ensure confidentiality, accuracy, and adherence to RMB’s compliance and governance frameworks.

Academic Qualifications:

• MBA (Finance) and/or
• CA (Chartered Accountant), CFA (preferred but not mandatory)

Experience Required:

• 2 – 4 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, research, investment banking support, or financial

analysis within a KPO or financial services environment.

• Strong proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and exposure to financial modelling.
• Solid understanding of financial statements, valuation methods, and corporate finance fundamentals.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work across time zones.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a global and professional outlook.

Specialized Skill Set Required:

• Strong proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modelling tools.
• Basic understanding of corporate finance principles, financial statements, and valuation techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating remotely with an international team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
