Job Description

Role Overview: As a Senior Manager, Corporate Development at Syngene, you will be responsible for driving the execution of strategic decisions through establishing strategic partnerships, new business opportunities, mergers, and acquisitions. Your core purpose will include identifying, assessing, and executing potential mergers, acquisitions, investments, and joint ventures in line with Syngene's strategy. Additionally, you will lead cross-functional teams, manage due diligence, deal negotiation, deal structuring, approval, and ensure transaction closure to drive Syngene's growth momentum. Key Responsibilities: - Identify, assess, and execute potential mergers, acquisitions, investments, and joint ventures in alignment with Syngene's strategy - Lead the entire M&A deal process including industry analysis, identifying potential targets, strategic evaluation, financial modeling, valuation, and preparation of all M&A documents - Lead cross-functional teams in developing business case analysis and interfacing with various departments to ensure seamless deal execution - Manage due diligence, deal negotiation, deal structuring, approval, and ensure transaction closure - Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure proper flow of deal information and documentation - Formulate, evaluate, strategize new business opportunities or business models and drive implementation programs - Anchor post-deal integration to realize strategic fitment and synergies - Track industry trends, competition, M&A deals, and regulatory requirements to inform strategy and decision making Qualifications Required: - 8-10 years of transaction experience in investment banking, investment research, corporate development, or M&A - Experience in executing all aspects of transactions including market analysis, financial modeling, due diligence, and closure activities - Excellent excel and presentation skills - Ability to work in cross-functional teams and steer discussions for decision making - Hands-on experience in creating financial models, effective communication, and collaboration skills - Education: CA/MBA/CFA - Good understanding of financial statements, modeling, M&A process, and strong analytical and presentation skills Additional Company Details: Syngene is an innovation-led contract research, development, and manufacturing organization offering integrated scientific services from early discovery to commercial supply.
