Cook/Kitchen Hand

Role Overview: As a Cook, your primary responsibility will be to prepare daily meals including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks based on the approved menu. You will be in charge of ensuring the taste, quality, and portion control of all dishes, while maintaining consistency in food quality and presentation. Additionally, you will assist in kitchen operations, health & safety compliance, teamwork coordination, and record-keeping. Key Responsibilities: - Food Preparation & Cooking - Prepare daily meals as per the menu - Ensure taste, quality, and portion control - Plan and cook vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes - Maintain consistency in food quality and presentation - Kitchen Operations - Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen - Proper storage of ingredients to avoid spoilage - Manage stock of raw materials and inform supervisor for replenishment - Assist in menu planning based on preferences and availability - Health & Safety - Follow food safety standards - Maintain personal hygiene and wear protective gear - Ensure proper temperature control and prevent cross-contamination - Monitor food expiry and discard spoiled items - Teamwork & Coordination - Coordinate with Admin/HR for daily headcount - Support in delivering meals on time - Assist in special staff events or functions - Record Keeping - Maintain consumption records and inventory logs - Report equipment issues or shortages Qualifications Required: - Proven experience as a Cook, preferably in staff cafeteria/mess/hotel - Basic knowledge of South Indian / North Indian cuisine - Ability to manage bulk cooking efficiently - Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices - Good time management and multitasking skills Education: - Diploma (Preferred) Please note that the job is Full-time and Permanent with the work location being in person.
