Position Overview

We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic Hot Line and Garde Manger cooks who are passionate about cooking and take pride in their craft. The ideal candidate will have strong culinary skills, work well under pressure, and be committed to maintaining high standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items on the Hot Line (grilling, sautéing, frying, oven work) or in the Garde Manger station (salads, cold appetizers, sandwich assembly, plating desserts).

• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workstation.

• Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards consistently.

• Assist with prep work, inventory rotation, and stock management.

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations at all times.

• Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods.

• Uphold the café’s food quality and presentation standards.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven kitchen experience, preferably in a high-volume café, restaurant, or catering environment.

• Knowledge of hot line cooking techniques and/or cold station preparation.

• Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Attention to detail and passion for delivering outstanding food.

• Formal culinary training is an asset but not mandatory if experience is strong.

• Flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
