Contract Manager

As a candidate for the position, your primary responsibility will be to review tender documents of projects in order to identify risky contractual and commercial clauses that may impact the achievement of business or project goals. By carefully assessing these key risks, you will be required to prepare tender comments highlighting the identified risky clauses. This information will further be summarized in the top sheet of tender comments to effectively communicate key risks to the top management and allocate contingency accordingly. Your role will also involve providing commercial and risk support through tender document review and pre-bid risk evaluations for high-value new projects. This includes conducting financial risk analysis of potential clients, partners, and competitors to assess their financial strengths and weaknesses. Additionally, you will review ongoing projects to monitor risks and performance against planned objectives. Another critical aspect of your job will be the preparation of a detailed risk register at the prebid level, outlining identified risks, proposed mitigation strategies, and allocated contingencies. You will be responsible for monitoring identified risks, updating the risk register with new emerging risks, and monitoring risk evolution throughout the project lifecycle. You will collaborate with the tendering team to identify critical contractual and commercial conditions, steer and review risks during monthly meetings, allocate individual risk owners, and monitor emerging risks to prevent delays and cost overruns. Coordinating with clients, project teams, and project managers, you will oversee the administration and execution of project plans. Furthermore, your tasks will involve analyzing terms and conditions for risks such as ambiguities, conflicts, or deviations from the scope of work, as well as preparing RFIs and organizing important files and documents for future reference. In collaboration with stakeholders, you will devise and execute product development strategies from an engineering perspective. Lastly, you should be prepared to undertake any other tasks assigned by management from time to time.
