Job Description

As a Continuous Improvement Manager at Hitachi Energy's Transformers Business in Maneja, India, you will play a crucial role in leveraging innovative technologies to transform energy, delivering social, environmental, and economic value. The Transformers BU team's comprehensive portfolio includes power transformers, traction transformers, insulation and components, digital sensors, and transformer services, contributing to a sustainable energy future for current and future generations. Your mission will involve creating and implementing quality management programs focused on continuous improvement of manufacturing-related business systems from the customer's perspective. You will identify and monitor feedback loops from customers and employees, encouraging broad-based employee engagement to drive organizational changes at all levels. As a Specialist Professional (P4), you will be a subject matter expert responsible for managing large projects or processes with limited oversight. Your role will involve coaching, reviewing, and delegating work to lower-level professionals, ensuring that policies, practices, and procedures are adhered to by direct reports, customers, and stakeholders. Your key responsibilities will include deploying the continuous improvement strategy, developing subject matter expertise within your team, fostering business partnerships, allocating resources effectively, ensuring performance transparency and improvement, and leading and developing people within the organization. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with 12-15 years of experience in transformers, automotive, industrial equipment, and precision parts manufacturing. You must have a proven track record in facilitating kaizens and major improvement projects, be competent in lean tools, and hold certifications in lean practices. Your background should reflect a disciplined, systematic approach with a passion for Lean strategies and deployment, along with strong results orientation and people-centered mindset.
