Job Description

Key Responsibilities:Food Preparation & Cooking:Assist in preparing and cooking continental cuisine (e.g., pasta, grilled meats, sauces, soups, and salads). Follow recipes and presentation guidelines set by the Head Chef. Ensure consistent taste, texture, and quality in every dish. Support the preparation of mise en place (chopping vegetables, marinating meats, making sauces, etc.). Cook dishes efficiently during service hours to meet customer demands. Kitchen Operations & Hygiene:Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen. Follow food safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP standards). Monitor food storage and report any quality issues. Ensure proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment. Teamwork & Coordination:Work closely with the Commis 2, Chef de Partie, and other kitchen staff. Assist in stock management, ensuring ingredients are fresh and properly stored. Support the kitchen in high-pressure service situations. Requirements:Education & Experience:Diploma/Degree in Culinary Arts or relevant field preferred. Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a continental kitchen. Prior experience in a hotel, café, or fine dining restaurant is a plus. Skills:Knowledge of continental cuisine and international cooking techniques. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Good understanding of food hygiene and safety. Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
