Brief On The Organization
Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar (IIPHG) is a University established under IIPHG Act, 2015 of Gujarat State. It offers courses in the field of Public Health. It also undertakes various research projects in the field of Public Health. The university is established by Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) with support from the Government of Gujarat, Department of Health & Family Welfare.
Project Brief
This project entitled “Post COVID-19 condition as a threat to healthy ageing: a randomized controlled trial of yoga to improve quality of life.” is supported through Indian Council of Medical Research. The study aims to assess effect of yoga-based intervention on health-related quality of life in older adults (aged 50-75 years) suffering from long COVID using randomized controlled trial (RCT). The study sites will be from Gujarat and Rajasthan.
Deliverables
To coordinate with investigators, consultants and other members of project team and overall supervision of the project in consultation with project PIs and Co-PIs. He/ She will do supervision of field activities during data collection and provide on field assistance as and when needed. Manage stakeholder consultation meetings and dissemination He/ She will do clinical diagnosis of Long COVID patient. Monitor the trial throughout its duration, which involves visiting the trial sites on a regular basis and dealing with and solving any issues Verify that data entered on to the CRFs is consistent with patient clinical notes, known as source data/document verification (SDV) Write visit reports and file and collate trial documentation and reports Archive study documentation and correspondence & prepare final reports and occasionally manuscripts for publication Any other task/ activities as assigned by the PI or Supervisor the project.
Qualification
Professional with MD or Ph.D. in relevant Subject and published PapersORRetired government employee with requisite educational qualification drawing pay in the pay band Rs. 15600-39100 -Grade pay of Rs.6600/- at the time of retirement & having adequate experience in required domain/field.
Experience: (Minimum)
: Experience in report writing, data analysis and managing software’s, Knowledge of Gujarati language. At least one year of research experience after completion of Ph.D.
