What You’ll Be Doing…

The Consultant for the Consumer Product Marketing team is responsible for supporting the Promotion fallout and Issue Resolution of Mobile & Home promotions. You’ll be responsible for supporting post launch defect monitoring and issue resolution, tracking customer impacting issues. In addition, your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting promo-related fallout, tracking customer-impacting issues related to Mobile and Home offers.
• Investigating root causes of promo failures, including system errors, misconfigurations, and process gaps
• Collaborating with engineering, operations, and customer support teams to implement fixes and prevent future fallout.
• Ensuring that defect resolutions are thoroughly tested before deployment to avoid future fallout.
• Providing regular updates to the promo operation team about defect resolution progress and impact.
• Being able to write and groom stories with IT related teams in an agile working environment.
• Working as a stakeholder in various agile teams like ACT 237 New Promo Constructs, ACT 195 and Fios related ACT’s/SWAT.

You’ll Need To Have

• A Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
• Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
• Six years in product marketing, product owner or promotions (ideally in a related industry)
• Hands-on experience in Jira (or a similar workflow/defect management tool)
• Proven ability to effectively refine and develop user stories in collaboration with IT teams, utilizing agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in Google Suite and MS Office
• Proven stakeholder management skills
• Knowledge on promotion and pricing strategies
  

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Promotions or product development experience
• Experience in the agile process including the Jira application
• Experience in a customer-facing channel, including experience with wireless POS systems
• Ability to outline issues/challenges, while offering viable solutions and recommendations
• Analyze what’s important from a variety of sources to provide a holistic view of the marketplace, competitive factors, risks, and opportunities
• Experience in operationalizing and executing on promotions
• Ability to manage short & long term projects
• High proficiency with the Google Suite
