The Fabric Marketing Consultant/Manager will play a crucial role in driving growth in Japan by developing and implementing a tailored marketing strategy for Japanese Brands. An ideal candidate for this role will have a profound understanding of Japanese business culture, market trends, and consumer behavior. Building and nurturing long-term relationships with clients is a key aspect of this strategic position. Market analysis, client-facing skills, and creative marketing expertise are essential for success in this role. Responsibilities include: - Conducting thorough market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and opportunities in the Japanese textile market. - Analyzing consumer preferences and generational differences to effectively tailor product offerings. - Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including fashion brands like UniQlo & Muji. - Providing insights and recommendations on fabric selection as a trusted advisor to customers. - Representing WPD at fabric presentation meetings and supporting the design team in developing marketing materials. - Offering market-specific feedback to inform future fabric innovations. - Collaborating with various marketing teams to ensure effective promotion of WPD products. - Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to expand the company's client base in Japan. - Working closely with the sales team to set and accomplish sales targets. Qualifications: - Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing, marketing, sales, or consulting within the textile, fashion, or related B2B industry. - Experience working with Japanese companies and a solid understanding of local business practices and etiquette. - Fluent in both English and Japanese. - Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with Japanese business professionals. - Strong analytical skills to interpret market data and develop actionable marketing strategies. This position falls under the Enterprise & B2B Sales category in the Textile & Apparel (Fashion) industry within the Sales & Business Development department. The candidate should hold a B.Tech/B.E. degree in Textile at the undergraduate level and an MBA/PGDM in Marketing at the postgraduate level.
