Consultant Gynecologist

About The Opportunity

• Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient obstetric and gynecologic care, including antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal management.
• Lead labour ward operations: manage spontaneous and operative vaginal deliveries, perform and supervise cesarean sections and emergency obstetric interventions.
• Perform elective and emergency gynecological surgeries, including laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures, and oversee perioperative care.
• Manage high-risk pregnancies and coordinate multidisciplinary care with neonatology, anesthesia and critical care teams.
• Supervise, mentor and train junior doctors, residents and nursing staff; ensure accurate clinical documentation and adherence to protocols.
• Drive quality improvement, participate in audits, maintain clinical governance standards and promote patient-safety initiatives.
  

Skills & Qualifications

• MBBS with MD/MS (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) or DNB (Obstetrics & Gynaecology)
• Current registration with National Medical Commission or respective State Medical Council
• Proven competence in laparoscopic surgery and hysteroscopy
• Established skills in cesarean section and emergency obstetric procedures including postpartum hemorrhage management
• Experience managing high-risk pregnancies and interpreting antenatal fetal monitoring/obstetric ultrasound
• Strong clinical documentation, familiarity with hospital protocols and ability to work full-time on-site in a hospital setting
  

Preferred

• Fellowship or certified training in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery
• Experience in urogynecology, reproductive endocrinology or high-volume labour ward leadership
• Prior involvement in clinical audits, guideline development or CME facilitation
