Brief on the Organization:
The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is working towards building a healthier India. It is helping to address the limited institutional and systems capacity in India by strengthening education and training, advancing research and technology and facilitating policy and practice in the area of Public Health. PHFI is headquartered in New Delhi with national presence through its constituent units of regional Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs) and Centers of Applied Research in core public health themes. The Foundation, established in 2006 as a public private initiative, is governed by an independent board comprising of senior government officials, eminent Indian and International academic and leaders, civil society representatives and corporate leaders. PHFI has been selected by the MOHFW to provide technical services as Independent Verification Agency (IVA) for “India’s Enhanced Health Service Delivery Program (EHSDP)” and “Transforming India’s Public Health Systems for Pandemic Preparedness Program” (PHSPP) under World Bank support. PHFI, as an Independent Verification Agency (IVA), has been entrusted with the task of carrying out independent verification of the achievement of the DLRs by MoHFW.
India’s Enhanced Health Service Delivery Program (EHSDP) aims to increase the utilization of comprehensive primary health care services, improve the quality of care, and strengthen the governance of the health sector in India. Program activities are organized around three Result Areas (RA): (i) RA 1: Strengthened service delivery through a redesigned CPHC model; (ii) RA 2: Improving the quality of care; and (iii) RA 3: Transforming health sector governance, accountability, and institutional and management capacity. The implementation of EHSDP focuses on seven Priority States, namely, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, Meghalaya, Punjab, and Uttar Pradesh.
The Field Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and conducting field-based data collection activities and ensuring timely and accurate reporting of both quantitative and qualitative data to the Team Lead. This role will be central to ensuring the reliability and completeness of field data.
The incumbent will work under the direct supervision of the Team Lead in the states and sampled districts of Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Meghalaya, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh. S/he will perform the following tasks:
