In this role at bp Technical Solutions India (TSI) centre in Pune, as a Construction Lead, you will be supporting the Construction Manager to ensure high safety, quality, and performance outcomes for squad activities. Your responsibilities will include developing construction execution strategies, setting performance targets, handling construction work scope development, ensuring compliance with technical integrity and HSSE expectations, identifying construction execution risks, and maintaining key contractor and construction interfaces. Key Responsibilities: - Develop the construction execution strategy, including detailed schedule, resource plan, and budget aligned with the project execution plan. - Define and implement Safety and Quality standards and performance targets. - Operate as part of the construction management squad to deliver work effectively. - Handle construction work scope development and contractor selection, lead changes to scope, and ensure timely delivery. - Set performance targets for construction activities, lead construction activities and contractor performance against targets, and intervene as needed. - Work closely with Engineering, Commissioning, and Operations to establish efficient project paths. - Ensure compliance with bp's requirements, drive technical integrity and HSSE compliance, and act as a site safety leader. - Identify construction execution risks at different project stages and manage risks throughout the project life cycle. - Maintain relationships with partners, handle key contractor and construction interfaces, and lead construction reviews as required. Qualifications Required: - Engineering degree or equivalent - PMP, Chartered Engineering qualification Experience and Job Requirements: - Minimum of 10 years of experience in the energy industry working on major construction projects - Demonstrable experience in leading construction projects through front end loading and execution stages - Experience in greenfield and brownfield environments for onshore and offshore scopes - Proactive safety and quality leader with the ability to intervene in critical situations - Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with partners and stakeholders - Deep competence in practical construction skills and highest ethical conduct in dealing with procurement and contracts - Ability to handle conflict, influence decisions, and work effectively under stress - Awareness of contract and labor law, and management of industrial relations By joining bp, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow in a diverse environment that values inclusivity and fairness.
