ComUnus Technologies - L2 Application Support Engineer - SQL

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 support for business applications, ensuring issues are resolved within SLAs.
• Understand and document application flows and dependencies.
• Perform root cause analysis, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries, joins, stored procedures, views, and functions.
• Create BRD (Business Requirement Documents) and other functional documentation.
• Collaborate with development teams to communicate requirements and share insights from production incidents.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, solutions, and knowledge base articles.
• Proactively monitor application performance and suggest Skills & Experience :
• 23 years of experience in Application Support or Production Support roles.
• Strong expertise in SQL:
• Writing complex queries and joins.
• Creating and maintaining stored procedures, views, and functions.
• Connecting to databases and running data analysis.
• Good understanding of application workflows and architecture.
• Ability to create clear and comprehensive BRD documents.
• Excellent communication skillsboth written and verbal.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving to Have :
• Experience with ticketing or ITSM tools.
• Familiarity with ITIL practices.
• Exposure to cloud-based applications.
• Knowledge of scripting (Shell/PowerShell/Python) is an added advantage
