Computer Aided Design Designer

As a SolidWorks designer, your role will involve creating and modifying 3D CAD models and assemblies using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software. You will be responsible for producing detailed 2D drawings and technical documentation from 3D models, including part drawings, assembly drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs). Working closely with engineers and other stakeholders, you will transform design specifications into functional and manufacturable designs. Additionally, you will use design software to perform simulations like stress testing, motion analysis, and kinematic analysis to ensure product performance. It will be your responsibility to collaborate in design review sessions, offer solutions to improve existing designs, and ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations. You will also manage and organize CAD files following version control practices and provide support for prototyping, testing, and production phases by creating detailed design drawings and specifications. In case of troubleshooting issues during the manufacturing process, you will offer design solutions when necessary. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field (or equivalent work experience) - Proven experience as a CAD Designer, CAD Drafter, or similar role, with expertise in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar design software - Strong knowledge of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes - Experience with 3D modeling and simulations for mechanical parts and assemblies - Ability to produce high-quality 2D drawings and technical documentation - Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment - Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities - Familiarity with CAD software version control and file management - Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) tools is a plus Preferred Skills: - Certifications in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software - Experience with CAM software or integration of CAD with manufacturing processes - Knowledge of specific industry standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM, etc.) - Ability to perform calculations for stress, strain, and load-bearing in mechanical designs In summary, as a SolidWorks designer, you will play a crucial role in product development, from initial concept to final production, ensuring designs are functional, manufacturable, and of high quality.,
