The Hind School

India’s First School of India Studies

Part of The Hind Ecosystem

Location: Fully Remote

Duration: 8–12 Weeks | Flexible Hours

Type: Unpaid Internship (Certificate & Mentorship Provided)

About The Hind School

The Hind School is India’s first School of India Studies and the world’s first institution devoted to Applied India Studies — a field that combines rigorous academic learning with field-based, experiential inquiry.

Through its flagship Postgraduate Programme (PGP) in India Studies, The Hind School is building a new model of higher education where India itself becomes the classroom — connecting policy, culture, civilisation, and innovation through immersive learning.

As part of The Hind Ecosystem, which includes The Hind Think Tank, The Hind Fund, and The Hind Company, we aim to pioneer India-centric education and research for the 21st century.

Role Overview

The Marketing & Communications Intern will work at the intersection of storytelling, strategy, and India’s cultural legacy. You will help articulate the voice of The Hind School across platforms, shaping narratives that reflect the depth, diversity, and dynamism of modern India.

This role is ideal for those who see communication as a creative act of nation-building — blending design, writing, and digital media to represent India’s story to the world.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the design and execution of digital campaigns for upcoming programs and institutional initiatives.

• Curate content for social media, newsletters, and official publications that reflect India’s intellectual and cultural heritage.

• Assist in press communication, storytelling, and partnership-related outreach.

• Create compelling multimedia content (posts, visuals, short features) aligned with The Hind School’s brand and philosophy.

• Collaborate with the Research and Partnerships teams to amplify the narrative of Applied India Studies.

Candidate Profile

• Students or recent graduates in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Design, or Public Policy.

• Strong written and visual storytelling ability; excellent command of English.

• Familiarity with tools like Canva, Notion, Mailchimp, and Google Workspace.

• Passion for India’s history, policy, and civilisational knowledge.

• Self-driven, creative, and eager to contribute to a national-level institution in its formative phase.

What You’ll Gain

• Opportunity to contribute to India’s first School of India Studies and shape a pioneering brand.

• Close mentorship from The Hind School’s founding team.

• A professional Certificate of Internship and Letter of Recommendation upon successful completion.

• Access to The Hind Network — an emerging global community of scholars, creators, and changemakers.
