Department: Kitchen Job Summary: The Commis at BEYONDBURG INC. plays a key role in assisting senior chefs in food preparation, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining kitchen hygiene. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about culinary arts and eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced kitchen environment. - Key Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of ingredients as per the chef’s instructions. Ensure timely execution of food preparation while maintaining consistency and quality. Follow hygiene and safety standards as per company policies. Maintain cleanliness of workstations and kitchen equipment. Assist in stock management by properly storing and labeling ingredients. Learn and apply kitchen techniques for food preparation, plating, and presentation. Work closely with the team to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Follow waste management protocols to minimize food wastage. Assist in receiving and checking kitchen inventory and supplies. Adapt to different kitchen tasks as assigned by senior chefs or management. - Key Requirements: Prior experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not mandatory. Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
