Commis Chef - Halwai

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Commis Chef - Halwai at ITC Hotels Limited in New Delhi. The primary responsibilities of this role include assisting in the preparation of traditional Indian sweets and desserts, maintaining high standards of food quality, ensuring hygiene and cleanliness in the work area, and collaborating with team members to execute day-to-day kitchen operations effectively. The role requires maintaining consistency in taste and presentation and adhering to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Food Preparation, Cooking, and Culinary Skills with a focus on traditional Indian sweets and desserts
• Knowledge of Hygiene standards and food safety practices
• Strong Communication skills to ensure coordination with team members and other departments
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and adapt to fast-paced kitchen operations
• Relevant experience or certification in culinary arts, pastry, or confectionery is an advantage
• A commitment to quality, creativity, and attention to detail in food presentation
• Prior experience in a fine dining or luxury hotel kitchen is desirable
