Commis Chef

Job Purpose:

To assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high-quality dishes in accordance with restaurant standards, ensuring consistency, hygiene, and food safety at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook dishes as per the menu and chef’s instructions.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
• Ensure proper portion control and minimize food wastage.
• Support senior chefs in menu planning, recipe development, and mise-en-place.
• Follow all hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards (HACCP / FSSAI compliance).
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, kitchen equipment, and storage areas.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the supervisor.
• Train and guide Commis II, Commis III, and Trainees when required.
• Ensure timely preparation of food during service hours.
• Work collaboratively with the team to deliver smooth kitchen operations.

• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and ingredients.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Attention to detail in food preparation and plating.
• Teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Experience:

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as Commis I / Commis II in a reputed restaurant.
• Specialization in cuisine ( Chinese ) preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
