As AtkinsRalis transitions from a traditional consultancy model to a blended mix with major projects, we aim to enhance our high-performing Commercial Team in Nuclear (Canada Region).
Our ideal candidate demonstrates entrepreneurial spirit and brings alternative perspectives to any situation. You should be able to present a range of solutions, combining analytical and problem-solving skills with strong interpersonal abilities and business acumen.
You'll engage early as a trusted internal business partner, supporting new business and sales opportunities by building winning business cases and commercialization plans that deliver long-term sustainable and profitable growth.
This role places you at the forefront of exciting developments across a broad spectrum of technologies and geographies-from traditional OEM services to full asset refurbishment and Nuclear New Build (large and small scale).

About the Team
AtkinsRalis Nuclear focuses on building and developing long-term relationships with clients. We hold several major project and OEM master services contracts through which we deliver client work.
In central functions, you'll work across the entire Nuclear portfolio, with opportunities to lead and support major bids, projects, M&A, and broader business initiatives.
We deliver end-to-end project solutions for all reactor technologies-from our own Candu design to new first-of-a-kind technologies-supporting all stages of the asset lifecycle:
OEM services
Life extension services, including full mid-life refurbishment
New reactor design and build
Design services and licensing
Engineering and project management
Fuel and waste management systems
Field services, tooling, and reactor components
Facility and infrastructure asset management
Waste management and decommissioning, including site remediation
What You'll Be Doing
In a rapidly growing energy market, we seek a Commercial Advisor who can support business goals while managing and balancing risk.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality support across the Win and Deliver work cycle
Support bid and project governance, including escalated approvals
Review client and supply chain contracts with Legal and Procurement
Lead/support contract negotiations
Manage a team
Develop business cases for new initiatives (e.g., M&A, new markets, digital products)
Resolve disputes and claims (project, insurance)
Deliver key elements of the Risk and Commercial roadmap
Coordinate with Legal, HR, Tax, and Treasury
Develop and deliver training (Lunch n Learn, web-based, classroom)
Manage internal and external stakeholders
Stay informed on market developments
The Person
You'll build strong relationships with internal clients and support the leadership and development of the commercial function. You should be able to work independently and collaboratively, delivering high-quality results. A background in utilities, development, or consultancy is an advantage.
Qualifications
Mandatory: Degree in Engineering, Technology, Science, or Business.
Desirable: Chartered status in a relevant profession.
