Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Commerce Developer with deep expertise in SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) and hands-on experience integrating e-commerce solutions with SAP S/4HANA. The role involves designing, developing, and optimizing commerce functionalities, APIs, and integrations to support the digital and ERP transformation roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

Commerce Cloud Development

• Design and develop features on SAP Commerce Cloud using Java, Spring, and platform extensions.
• Implement custom modules, storefront components, OCC services, and backoffice configurations.
• Develop product catalog structures, search features (SOLR), promotions, checkout flows, and order management logic.
  

Integration with S/4HANA

• Develop and support real-time and batch integrations between Commerce Cloud and S/4HANA via:
• SAP CPI / Integration Suite
• REST/OData services
• IDoc-based integrations
• Build integration components for customer data, orders, pricing, inventory, promotions, and product master data.
  

Architecture & Design

• Participate in solution design, technical architecture discussions, and blueprinting workshops.
• Ensure code quality, performance, scalability, and security alignment with best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across commerce, middleware, and S/4 endpoints.
  

Testing & Delivery

• Support SIT, UAT, performance testing, and production readiness.
• Collaborate closely with QA teams to validate integration flows.
• Perform code reviews and adhere to CI/CD pipelines.
  

Collaboration

• Work with cross-functional teams including S/4HANA SD/MM, Middleware, Basis, and Business stakeholders.
• Participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, grooming, retrospectives).
• Provide technical guidance to junior developers.
  

Required Skills & Experience

Commerce & Technical Skills

• 8–12 years of experience in software development; minimum 5+ years in SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris).
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Java, Spring Framework
• OCC Webservices
• SOLR search configuration
• Backoffice customization
• AddOn development, ImpEx, CronJobs
• Good understanding of catalog management, pricing, promotions, cart, and checkout flows.
  

S/4HANA & Integration Knowledge

• Working knowledge of S/4HANA Sales (SD) concepts: pricing, BOM, ATP, material master.
• Experience in integrating Commerce Cloud with SAP backend systems through CPI/IS.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, XML, and payload structures.
  

Tools & Platforms

• SAP Commerce Cloud (public cloud/on-prem)
• SAP CPI / Integration Suite
• Git, Jenkins, JIRA, Postman
• Cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) – added advantage
  

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with SAP Commerce Cloud Spartacus storefront.
• Knowledge of SAP Customer Data Cloud (CDC).
• Exposure to SAP BTP services.
• Performance tuning and SEO optimization.
