Colourant Processing Engineer - Paints Manufacturing

Role & responsibilities

• Adherence to plant safety procedures and ensure Zero safety incidents
• Achieve the Dept. targets in terms of Productivity, Delivery, Quality, Safety, Cost and Environment
• Identification of process bottlenecks and suggesting improvement solutions
• Capability building in the engineers
• Documentation updating and maintaining (IMS, Dept. records etc.,)
• Identifying the design Gaps vs actual in process operations
• Maintain department hygiene as per plant hygiene procedure
• TPM implementation on shop floor as per the procedure
• Minimize the process loss as per the requirements
• Prepare the CAPEX for the dept. as per the requirements
• Reduction in waste /Wash water generation from the dept.

• Understand the equipment, products, Processes, Raw materials and roles of RMs
• Understand the design capacity, operations and troubleshooting
• DCS and SAP operation
• Ensure monthly target is achieving as per the requirements
• Coordination with relevant stake holders to achieve the month target
• Identify the root cause for problems and eliminating it so that it will not repeat again.
• Use problem-solving tools for operational issues.
• Closure of safety observation on time
• Ensure strict implementation and compliance of best practices as part of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001and TPM
• Endure strict implementation of Plant hygiene procedure
• Maintain necessary documents as part of the above system
• Maintain SAP hygiene (ensure SAP input vs Outputs are as per the SOP)
• Prepare the SOP, revise the SOP as per the operation and update the same in IMS documents
• Ensure all dept. documents are updated in MES
• Preparation of month schedule as per the month plan
• Cross check the PM and calibration schedule for the dept. equipment
• Preparing Dept. performance presentation as per the requirements
• Ensure sufficient consumable available in dept. for the smooth operations
• Ensure smooth execution of approved CAPEXs
• New Products take in small scale and standardised in pilot area after coordination with R&D team. The same batches scale up in shop floor
• Standardising reports need to maintain and circulate to concern people
• Maintain of the pilot products standardizing tracker reports and circulate to concern person
