Collections Officer

You will be responsible for managing the recovery of overdue mortgage loans as a Mortgage Collection Officer. Your main duties will include analyzing borrowers" financial situations, recommending suitable solutions such as restructuring or legal action, and maintaining accurate records of communications and collection status in the loan management system. Additionally, you will need to coordinate with legal and recovery teams for escalated cases, ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, and provide regular reports on collection activities and performance metrics. To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 4 years of experience in mortgage or secured loan collections, preferably with NBFCs or banks, and hold a Bachelor's degree. Strong negotiation and communication skills, knowledge of mortgage loan structures and recovery processes, proficiency in MS Office and loan management software, and fluency in the local language are also key requirements. Your ability to foster positive customer relationships while enforcing firm recovery efforts, assist in skip tracing and tracing defaulters, and comply with internal policies and RBI guidelines related to collections will be crucial for your performance. This position is full-time and permanent, with a day shift and fixed schedule. The work location will be in person.
