Collections Officer

Job Title: Collections Officer

The Collections Officer is responsible for managing the timely recovery of outstanding payments from clients, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and maintaining positive customer relationships. The role involves following up on overdue invoices, negotiating payment plans, resolving disputes, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth credit operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor accounts receivable and identify overdue accounts
• Make outbound calls, emails, and reminders to collect pending payments
• Negotiate repayment plans while maintaining customer satisfaction
• Maintain accurate records of all collection activities
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or disputes
• Prepare daily/weekly collection reports for management
• Coordinate with sales, finance, and customer service teams for settlement issues
• Recommend accounts for escalation or legal action when necessary
• Achieve monthly and quarterly collection targets
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines

Skills Required

• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Good understanding of billing and credit processes
• Problem-solving ability and conflict-resolution skills
• Patience, persistence, and attention to detail
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with CRM/ERP is a plus
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
