Role**Senior Architect, Modernization

Required Technical Skill Set**IBM Mainframe, IBM COBOL, CICS, IMS, VSAM, DB2, JCL and any other Mainframe related technologies

Desired Experience Range**7 to 12 yrs

Location of Requirement : Chennai (Preferred), Pune

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have**

• IBM Mainframe, IBM COBOL, CICS, IMS, VSAM, DB2, JCL, other COBOL platform/Mainframe Technologies
• Experience in working within the IBM mainframe environment & ecosystem or any other COBOL platform.

Good-to-Have

• Any prior experience in application modernization/mainframe data migration projects will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of Java, databases, Java applications architecture and Cloud deployment
• Exposure to AI technologies
• Prior experience in BFSI preferred.

Skillset Required / Expectations from the Role

1 Mainframe/Other COBOL Platform SME needed for key technical discussions on source application analysis and inventory understanding phase in the modernization program.

2 Design and Development activities to achieve desired outcomes through converted code.

3 Collaborate with customer application SMEs.

4 Offer ideas and options for complex legacy technology constructs and how they can be converted to the target technologies

5 Proactively tackle challenges as they arise

6 Provide continuous improvement feedback for product enrichment

7 Willingness to learn distributed environments
