Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

Academic & Curriculum Delivery

• Assist in planning and teaching 

  interdisciplinary units of inquiry (UOIs)

   
• Foster inquiry-based learning that builds critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Differentiate instruction to support a range of learning needs.
• Integrate technology and 21st-century skills in teaching.
• Conduct formative and summative assessments in line with IB standards.
• Assist in managing student progress reports.

Pastoral Care & Child Development

• Support a classroom culture of respect, inclusion, collaboration, and independence.
• Support emotional, social, and moral development of learners.
• Encourage self-management, reflection, and ownership of learning.
• Establish strong parent partnerships to support student progress.

Collaboration & Professionalism

• Collaborate with colleagues for curriculum design, co-teaching, and transdisciplinary initiatives.
• Participate in team meetings, IB workshops, and continuous professional development.
• Actively contribute to co-curricular, cultural, and community-building events.
• Adhere to all school and IB standards, including safeguarding and child safety.

Key Competencies

• Understanding of child development and

  primary education pedagogy

• Interest in IB EYP or PYP program design
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Classroom management and organizational abilities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or Child Development 
• 3–5 years of experience teaching in pre-school or primary schools, (Waldorf or Montessori preferred
