CNC Technicians

What you'll do

• CNC Machining Operations

  – Set up, calibrate, operate and maintain 3-axis and 5-axis CNC routers and VMCs to machine composites, foams (XPS/PVC), aluminium, and tooling materials with high precision and consistency.

• CAM Programming & G-Code Generation

  – Convert CAD models into optimized toolpaths, generate and verify G-code, and refine programs to reduce cycle time, scrap, and tool wear.

• Tooling & Fixture Fabrication

  – Machine molds, jigs, layup boards, and assembly fixtures; design and build work-holding solutions in collaboration with engineers.

• Dimensional Inspection & Quality

  – Perform first-article checks, verify tolerances, and ensure parts meet required specifications using precision measuring instruments.

• Shop Floor Support & Maintenance

  – Maintain tooling, cutters, and machine components; manage consumables and material inventory; keep machining operations efficient and reliable.

What we're looking for

• 2+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience with routers or small mills in aerospace, composites, prototyping, or other high-precision environments.
• Proficiency in CAM programming (Fusion 360, Mastercam, ArtCAM, or similar) and experience generating G-code from CAD models.
• Strong fundamentals in feeds, speeds, tool selection, and machining parameters for foam, composites, aluminium, and other engineering materials.
• Ability to independently set up work-holding, fixtures, tool offsets, and work coordinates for accurate, repeatable machining.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for issues like chatter, tool breakage, and dimensional drift, with a mindset tuned to rapid prototyping.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced build environments with changing designs and tight timelines.

Bonus Skills

• 5-axis CNC or VMC experience
• Machining aerospace materials (titanium, composites, tooling boards)
• Basic CAD familiarity for model review
• Foam machining or CNC macro programming
