Cloud Cost Optimization & Security Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Cost Optimization & Security Specialist to manage and optimize cloud expenditures across AWS, Azure, and OCI while ensuring robust cloud security practices. The role requires collaboration with finance, DevOps, and security teams to align cost optimization strategies with organizational security standards and business goals.

Responsibilities:

Analyze and optimize cloud usage to reduce costs across AWS/Azure/OCI.

Implement cloud cost management strategies (rightsizing, reserved instances, savings plans).

Ensure compliance with cloud security best practices and corporate policies.

Monitor IAM policies, encryption standards, and access controls.

Collaborate with finance, DevOps, and security teams to align cost and security goals.

Prepare monthly/quarterly reports on cost savings and security posture.

Required Skills:

Hands-on experience with AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, or OCI Billing.

Strong knowledge of IAM, encryption (KMS, SSL/TLS), and cloud security standards (CIS, NIST).

Proficiency with tools like Cloud Health or AWS Trusted Advisor.

Good understanding of networking (security groups, firewalls, VPCs).

Preferred Certifications:

AWS Certified Security Specialty / Solutions Architect

Azure Security Engineer Associate

FinOps Foundation Certification

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to explain technical findings to business stakeholders.

Good documentation and presentation skills.
