Claims Manager, Marine & Equipment

Role Overview: You will be responsible for providing Incident and Claims handling support for H&M/P&I matters across the business. Your role will also involve handling administrative tasks to ensure effective claims handling and data management using the requisite systems and processes. Key Responsibilities: - Handle incidents and claims in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external insurers. - Appoint appropriate experts and surveyors in a timely manner. - Support Data management initiatives within the department for claims and loss prevention activities. - Assist in driving key objectives for the team. - Review and adjust Invoicing from P&I Clubs, Underwriters, Brokers, and other vendors. - Manage total cost of risk (TCOR) reporting within the vessel claims sphere. - Prepare monthly performance reports for the head of marine claims. Qualification Required: - Maritime graduate / PG with 5+ years of shore experience in Maritime Claims. - Knowledge of various shipping lines trades and operations. - Essential understanding of Charter party and Maritime Law. - Preferably knowledgeable in Insurance & underwriting principles. - Effective communication skills for clear, direct, and appropriate communication at multiple organizational levels. - Strong interpersonal skills with a persistent focus on long-term business goals. - Result-oriented, ready to take challenges, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines. - Proactive problem-solving ability with an analytical thought process.
