Civil Site Engineer

Job Description A Civil Site Engineer is responsible for supervising, managing, and executing on-site construction activities in accordance with drawings, specifications, and safety standards. The role involves coordination with contractors, consultants, and clients to ensure quality work, timely completion, and cost control of projects. Job Responsibilities Project Supervision – Oversee day-to-day site activities to ensure smooth execution. Quality Control – Ensure materials and workmanship meet specified quality standards. Site Coordination – Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and subcontractors. Progress Monitoring – Track project progress and report to project manager. Safety Compliance – Ensure adherence to safety norms and site regulations. Resource Management – Manage manpower, materials, and machinery efficiently. Documentation & Reporting – Maintain daily site records, measurement sheets, and progress reports. Problem Solving – Resolve technical/site issues promptly to avoid delays. Cost & Time Control – Assist in minimizing wastage and ensuring timely project completion. Client & Consultant Interaction – Address queries and ensure client satisfaction with site execution. Job Tasks Study drawings, specifications, and BOQs before execution. Prepare and update daily site progress reports. Supervise reinforcement, shuttering, concreting, brickwork, plastering, flooring, finishing works, etc. Conduct quality checks for materials (cement, steel, aggregates, etc.) before use. Verify contractor bills and prepare measurement sheets. Ensure proper layout marking, leveling, and surveying at the site. Monitor subcontractors’ work to ensure quality and timely completion. Conduct site safety toolbox meetings for workers. Liaise with suppliers for timely delivery of materials. Assist in preparation of as-built drawings and completion reports
