CIVIL QAQC&QS FACULTY

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Civil Engineering Faculty Member with expertise in Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC) and Quantity Surveying (QS) to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will have both academic and industry experience and a strong commitment to teaching, mentoring, and curriculum development in these specialized domains.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach core and elective courses in QA/QC and Quantity Surveying, including:
• Construction materials and testing
• Quality control standards (IS codes, ASTM, BS)
• Site quality inspection procedures
• Estimation and costing
• Rate analysis and BOQ preparation
• Tendering and contract management
• Prepare and deliver lectures, lab sessions, and assessments in accordance with the curriculum.
• Develop and update course materials to reflect current industry practices and standards.
• Guide students in practical lab work, mini-projects, and capstone projects related to QA/QC and QS.
• Mentor students for industry certifications or placements in QA/QC or QS roles.
• Organize industrial visits, guest lectures, and seminars to bridge the gap between theory and practice.
• Participate in departmental activities such as curriculum development, accreditation support (NAAC, NBA), and academic audits.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 2–3years of teaching and/or industry experience in QA/QC or Quantity Surveying.
• Sound knowledge of:
• QA/QC procedures in civil construction
• Non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques
• Quantity take-offs, estimation software (e.g., MS Excel, AutoCAD, CostX, Primavera P6, etc.)
• National and international codes and standards (IS, ACI, ASTM)
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.

Desirable:

• Certification in QA/QC (e.g., ASQ, ISO, NDT Level II) or Quantity Surveying (e.g., RICS, NIQS, CPD certifications).
• Familiarity with construction management software tools.
• Experience in academic research or paper publications.
• Ability to design and run short-term certification programs/workshops.

Job Types: Part-time, Freelance
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: ₹200.00 - ₹350.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 per week
