Civil Project Manager - Liberia

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the civil engineering scope of solar projects from planning through to commissioning and handover.
• Oversee all aspects of civil works including site preparation, grading, earthworks, foundations for solar structures, access roads, drainage systems, and cable trenches.
• Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource plans to ensure timely and cost-effective execution.
• Supervise and coordinate site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with design specifications, technical standards, and environmental and safety regulations.
• Interface with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure project alignment and address design or execution challenges.
• Conduct regular site visits, progress reviews, and quality audits to ensure high construction standards are met.
• Review and approve civil engineering drawings, method statements, and construction procedures.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to maintain progress and quality.
• Prepare regular project reports, financial updates, and stakeholder briefings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Master’s is a plus
• Minimum 10 years of experience in civil construction, with at least 3 years in solar or renewable energy projects
• Proven experience managing utility-scale or commercial solar PV projects involving complex site civil works
• Strong understanding of geotechnical conditions, structural foundations, and stormwater management for solar plants
• Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera), AutoCAD, and Civil 3D
• Familiar with international standards and codes related to civil works and solar farm construction
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multi-cultural teams
• Willingness to be based full-time in
