Civil Project Engineer

You are a motivated and self-driven site engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and at least 5-10 years of experience in handling large-scale projects. Your role requires a minimum commitment of 3 years, with the possibility of extension, and the ability to join immediately. Strong leadership skills are essential for managing entire projects by coordinating between the architects" team and contractors" team to ensure outstanding quality delivery. Your responsibilities include assisting other team members, preparing estimates for time and material costs, ensuring quality assurance, observing health and safety standards, and compiling reports for different stakeholders. You will be expected to work closely with various professionals to integrate inputs and create work schedules that meet deadlines. A practical approach, along with strong analytical and logical thinking skills, is crucial for handling pressure in this role. You should be willing to travel and work on sites in Chennai or other cities/towns if required. Your ability to lead and collaborate with contractors and vendors of different scales throughout the project lifecycle is essential. Knowledge of tendering and bid processes is a must, along with the ability to work on estimates, tender documents, and assist clients in tender management. Good documentation skills and attention to detail in maintaining site records are prerequisites for this position. As a Civil Project Engineer, your responsibilities will include preparing cost estimates, providing technical advice, negotiating contracts with suppliers and vendors, authorizing technical drawings, drawing up work schedules, compiling reports, delegating tasks, completing quality assurance, and providing feedback to the team. Requirements for this role include a Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, or a related field, at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, sound knowledge of engineering, construction, and design, practical leadership and organizational skills, superb project management skills, logical and critical thinking abilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a willingness to learn.
