Civil Project Engineer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated Civil Project Engineer with 5-7 years of experience in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing project execution, ensuring quality control of the project, coordinating with various clients, and assisting in delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Execution:

• Assist in planning and scheduling construction activities, ensuring alignment with project timelines.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and provide solutions to mitigate delays.
• Support the project manager in executing project plans and maintaining efficiency.

Site Coordination & Supervision:

• Work closely with sub-contractors and site engineers to ensure smooth workflow.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues.

Technical & Quality Assurance:

• Interpret drawings, specifications, and project requirements to guide site teams.
• Ensure quality control measures are met in all construction phases.
• Collaborate with design teams to address discrepancies in plans or specifications.

Budget & Cost Management:

• Assist in tracking project budgets and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Coordinate with procurement teams for material sourcing and vendor management.
• Verify invoices and ensure cost control measures are in place.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain project documentation, including progress reports, RFIs, and daily logs.
• Prepare technical reports and provide updates to the site engineers and senior management.
• Ensure proper record-keeping of drawings, permits, and compliance documents.

Qualifications & Skills:

• B.Tech Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• 5-7 years of experience in construction project management or site engineering.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and regulations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera, or similar project management tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in commercial/infrastructure projects such as high rise buildings and highway construction.
• Knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations.
