We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to lead technical investigations, root cause analyses, and design reviews for civil and structural issues in hydropower projects.

The role involves diagnosing failures, addressing vibration and leakage-related structural issues, and recommending effective engineering solutions for operating or under-construction hydro plants.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct root cause analyses for civil failures, cracks, leakages, and vibration-related structural issues.

Perform forensic engineering and condition assessments of powerhouses, surge tanks, tunnels, and penstocks.

Review and interpret designs, as-built data, and instrumentation records.

Recommend corrective and preventive actions for identified issues.

Prepare technical reports, RCA summaries, and rehabilitation strategies.

Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and geotechnical specialists.

Support clients, EPCs, and O&M teams with expert advice and technical audits.

Qualifications

B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (M.Tech/M.E. in Structural, Hydraulic, or Geotechnical Engineering preferred).

Preferred Experience

815 years of relevant experience in hydropower project design, construction, or consulting.

Retired engineers with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.

Hands-on experience in diagnostic engineering, design verification, or failure analysis.

Proficiency in civil design and drawing tools.

Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.

Vibration or resonance analysis in penstock and powerhouse structures.

Dam/tunnel rehabilitation and concrete distress analysis.

Field investigation and instrumentation data interpretation.

Familiarity with national and international standards related to civil structures in hydropower plants.

Soft Skills

Strong analytical thinking and technical leadership.

Excellent report writing and presentation skills.

Willingness to travel to remote hydropower sites.
