For a large global investment bank, we are looking for GCP-qualified cloud engineers to help with the FIC (fixed income and currencies) cloud migrations under Project Cirrus. Knowledge of Financial Services/FIC would be great, but the primary skills we need are in building, migrating, and deploying applications to GCP, Terraform module coding, Google infrastructure, cloud-native services such as GCE, GKE, CloudSQL/Postgres, logging and monitoring, etc., & good written and spoken English, as we would like these engineers to help with knowledge transfer to our existing development & support teams. We would like to place people alongside the engineers they'll be working with in the bank. You should have extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, and Docker. role involves working closely with our development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications. Responsibilities Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines on GCP. Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment using tools like Terraform and Ansible. Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters for high availability and scalability. Containerize applications using Docker and manage container orchestration. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system reliability and security. Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems. Implement and manage logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in DevOps and cloud technologies. Skills Must have Looking for 6 to 9 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in GCP. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Strong expertise in Kubernetes and Docker. Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible. Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Go. Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI. Knowledge of networking, security, and database management.
