Job Summary:

QA Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using appropriate frameworks and tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and define test cases.
• Maintain and improve existing automated test suites.
• Identify, document, and track defects in collaboration with the development team.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and automation best practices.
• Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in QA automation.
  

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer or similar role.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
• Experience with automation tools and frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit, or similar.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skillset:

• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Experience with cloud platforms and containerization (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of database technologies and ability to write SQL queries.
• Certifications in software testing or automation (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) are a plus.
