- Support Portfolio Managers in daily portfolio management of client accounts, taking into consideration clients objectives, restrictions, and relevant cross-border profiles. - Role & responsibilities include ensuring proper records and full documentation on the lifecycle of the mandate, providing reconciliation and reporting of Client cash & securities positions; supporting corporate action elections, cash management & FX hedging activities, monitoring & escalation of control checks and ensuring operational issues are promptly escalated. - Supporting activities also encompass reporting generation to aid the regional team in internal guideline checks, ad-hoc client reporting for sales / after-sales. - Contribute to strategic initiatives & regulatory topics, working as part of a wider group, to drive innovative developments for the business, whilst adhering to evolving regulatory requirements. You will be supporting the Discretionary Portfolio Management teams based in HK, SG, JP and AU. Our business area CIO Global Investment Management (IM) provides our Client Advisors with high quality and tailor-made solutions. We are responsible for investing assets and managing discretionary portfolios for wealth management clients. Our team is responsible for the efficient and proper account management of UBS investment strategies and policies that maximize portfolio performance consistent with clients objectives. You will be working closely with the Portfolio Managers, following developments in the financial markets within their area of responsibility to maintain an understanding of trends and how they might affect UBS Global Wealth Management Investment Policies. You have: - a degree in banking / finance-related discipline - between 2-6 years of experience in a financial services firm - good overview of financial instruments, portfolio and asset allocation concepts - strong understanding of IT infrastructure / processes to aid fluency / efficiency of system application use in daily operations - strong analytical, problem solving and synthesizing skills (you know how to figure stuff out) - MS Office and excel skills are a prerequisite (coding experience a big plus) You are: - self-motivated, responsible and meticulous with strong communication skills and love working in a high functioning team - highly determined and shows effort & enthusiasm to deliver results, often originating action and keeping things moving - able to assess new ideas and provide implementable solutions with a view on the big picture - well organized, with an innate sense of how to prioritize - client service focused (internal & external); adaptable and prepared to take on different tasks / roles where the team / business requires - highly collaborative / good team player with colleagues within and beyond own area to achieve common goals - fluent in English in both written and verbal communication.
