Job Description

As a Short Form DOP, you will play a crucial role in bringing our creative visions to life through compelling and visually stunning video content. You will be responsible for creating shot breakdowns, conceptualizing videos from a DOP’s perspective, setting up scenes, and collaborating with the creative team to ensure cohesive and high-quality production. Your expertise in videography and your creative eye will help elevate our content and resonate with our audience.


Responsibilities:


• Shot Breakdown Creation: Develop detailed shot breakdowns to guide the production process and ensure all necessary shots are captured.

• Video Conceptualization: Work closely with the creative team to brainstorm and conceptualize video ideas, providing input from a videographer’s perspective to enhance storytelling and visual appeal.

• Scene Setup: Plan and execute the setup of scenes, including lighting, camera angles, and props, to create visually engaging and cohesive footage.

• Camera Operation: Operate cameras and other video equipment during shoots to capture high-quality footage.

• Lighting: Design and implement effective lighting setups for scenes to ensure optimal video quality and visual impact.

• Coordination with Creative Team: Collaborate with directors, producers, writers, and other creative team members to align on vision, goals, and execution of video projects.

• Post-Production Collaboration: Work alongside editors to ensure footage is used effectively and final cuts meet the project’s vision and standards.

• Technical Proficiency: Stay updated on the latest videography trends, techniques, and equipment, including mobile videography, to continuously improve the quality of our video content.

• Project Management: Manage multiple video projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project timelines and budgets.

• Quality Control: Review and critique video content to ensure it meets our high standards of quality and aligns with brand guidelines.

• Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the video production process.


Requirements:


• Proven experience as a videographer, particularly in short form content creation.

• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in videography, shot composition, scene setup, and mobile videography.

• Proficiency with cameras, lighting equipment, and video editing software.

• Excellent creative and storytelling skills with a keen eye for detail.

• Ability to conceptualize and execute video ideas from start to finish.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with a creative team.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Knowledge of current videography trends and techniques, including mobile videography.

• Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media, Communications, or a related field (preferred but not required).
