The Role:
We are seeking a visionary Cinematographer (Director of Photography) to join our in-house production team. You are more than a technician; you are a visual storyteller who understands how to sell a product, evoke an emotion, and build a brand world through the lens. You will be the creative force behind the look and feel of our commercial spots, branded content, and digital campaigns, working from concept through final color.
Key Responsibilities:
Creative Collaboration: Partner closely with Creative Directors, Art Directors, and clients to develop the visual strategy and aesthetic for a wide range of projects (TV commercials, online videos, social content, etc.).
Pre-Production Leadership: Lead technical scouts, create detailed shot lists, and design comprehensive lighting plans. Select the ideal camera packages, lenses, and gear to achieve the desired look while adhering to budget and timeline.
On-Set Execution: Lead the camera and lighting departments on set. Direct the operation of cameras, gimbals, drones, and lighting setups to create dynamic, high-impact imagery. Ensure brand consistency and the highest production value in every frame.
Client & Agency Partnership: Clearly articulate your creative and technical choices to agency teams and clients. Be a confident and persuasive presenter of visual ideas.
Post-Production Partnership: Work closely with editors and colorists in post-production to ensure the final product matches the intended visual style and brand guidelines.
Innovation & Trends: Stay ahead of the latest trends in camera technology, lighting techniques, and visual styles for advertising. Bring fresh, innovative ideas to the table that will set our work apart.
Who You Are (Required Skills & Qualifications):
5+ years of experience as a Cinematographer or DP, with a strong portfolio specifically showcasing high-end commercial, advertising, or branded content work.
A demo reel that demonstrates a mastery of visual storytelling, composition, and lighting for the advertising medium.
Expert-level proficiency with digital cinema cameras (ARRI, RED, Sony Venice), lenses, and lighting equipment.
Deep understanding of how cinematography drives brand messaging and consumer engagement.
Proven ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and adapt to fast-paced changes common in an agency environment.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
A collaborative spirit—a team player who thrives in a creative, synergistic environment.
Bonus Points (Preferred Qualifications):
Experience directing or co-directing commercial shoots.
Strong skills in motion graphics, editing, or color grading (DaVinci Resolve).
Experience shooting for social media formats (e.g., vertical video, 1x1).
