Role Overview

Chinese Interpreter

Key Responsibilities

• Provide

  real-time interpretation

  during meetings, site visits, audits, and discussions.
• Translate

  technical documents

  , reports, emails, and presentations from Mandarin Chinese to English (and vice versa).
• Ensure translations accurately convey technical details and cultural nuances.
• Serve as the

  primary liaison

  between the HOD, Chinese/Taiwanese teams, and Indian staff.
• Clarify technical and business terminology for seamless understanding.
• Coordinate HODs schedules, including meetings, travel, and communications.
• Draft, review, and proofread bilingual correspondence and reports.
• Assist in onboarding Chinese-speaking employees and coordinating cross-cultural training sessions.
• Assist in creating and translating technical materials, such as SOPs, manufacturing guidelines, and quality control documents.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Education:

  Bachelors degree in Chinese Language, Linguistics, Interpretation, or a related field (preferred).

• Experience:

• 2-5 years of professional interpreting experience, ideally in

  manufacturing or technical domains

  .
• Familiarity with the electronics manufacturing industry is a strong advantage.

Language Proficiency

• Fluency in

  Mandarin Chinese

  and

  English

  (spoken and written) is mandatory.
• Proficiency in Tamil or Hindi is a bonus.
