Job Title: Chief Product Officer (CPO) / Head of Product Management
Experience Level: 17+ years in product leadership roles in fintech/payments/SaaS

Role OverviewAs the CPO, you will:
- Own the full product lifecycle from vision to delivery across all business lines and platforms.
- Translate customer, business, and regulatory needs into world-class product offerings.
- Define a cohesive roadmap across PSP, TSP, and international expansion tracks (including ISO to PayFac evolution in the US)
- Work closely with Engineering, Design, Compliance, and GTM teams to drive platform excellence and innovation
Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Vision & Strategy
- Define and evolve Toucans product vision and roadmap across PSP (regulated), TSP, and emerging embedded finance opportunities.
- Drive platformization of capabilities (e.g., Tokenization, Fraud Engine, Smart Routing, Developer APIs) for scalable monetization
- Align product strategy with business goals - including global expansion, ecosystem partnerships, and regulatory evolution.
Product Execution & Lifecycle Management
- Lead and scale the product team, including PMs, Product Designers, and Analysts
- Oversee product development from ideation and customer discovery to launch and iteration
- Drive delivery of foundational products: Merchant Acquiring Engine, Payment Switch, Smart Routing Engine, vKYC Stack, Orchestration Layer, AI-powered Dispute Resolution, Card Issuance etc.
Customer & Market Insight
- Stay close to customer needs — merchants, enterprises, developers, acquirers, fintechs, and financial institutions.
- Synthesize feedback into actionable insights and high-impact features
- Benchmark against global leaders (Stripe, Adyen, Pine Labs, Razorpay, etc.) while identifying white space for innovation
Innovation & AI/ML Integration
- Work with Engineering and Data teams to embed AI/ML across fraud detection, pricing, routing, reconciliation, and embedded lending.
- Champion intelligent workflows, self-serve APIs, and AI-driven automation in onboarding, compliance, and customer support.
Global Expansion & Regulatory Alignment
- Collaborate with Legal/Compliance on regulated product launches (RBI, PCI, ISO, network schemes).
- Ensure readiness for global formats and protocols: ISO 8583, ISO 20022, EMV, BIN sponsorship, and PayFac compliance (US)
- Design products with localization and modularity in mind to enable rapid market entry.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Align closely with Engineering (CIO & CTO), Design, Compliance, Finance, and Business Development teams to deliver high-impact results.
- Partner with Sales/Marketing to shape GTM strategies, partner APIs, and channel enablement
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in product management, with 7+ years in leadership roles at fintech, payments, or SaaS scale-ups
- Proven experience in launching and scaling B2B fintech or payments products in regulated environments
- Strong knowledge of payment ecosystems: acquiring, orchestration, gateways, UPI, cards, ISO formats, tokenization, and embedded finance
- Deep product instincts with a data-driven and user-centric mindset.
- Track record of managing complex product portfolios and platform roadmaps.
- Familiarity with compliance (RBI, PCI-DSS), developer platforms, and monetization frameworks.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience launching products in international markets, especially the US or GCC
- Blend of 0 to 1 product creation and large-scale platform optimization
- Exposure to AI/ML applications in fintech or process automation
- Strong storytelling ability to align internal teams, investors, and partners.
