Darshanlal Jagdishparshad (DLJP) is one of the most renowned name in Tea Industry having own Tea Estate in Assam - Shakomato Tea Estate

Having their Head Office in kolkata, DLJP is a veteran in Tea Sector, producing more than 2 million kgs of Tea and is one of the main supplier to Society Tea, Tata Tea, Hindustan Unilever, Wagh Bakri Tea and many more.

Shakomato is an old and established tea plantation.

The tea estate was acquired by DLJP in the year 1960 from James Warren & Company. The stewardship of the company then passed in the hands of Late Mr Jagdish Parshad, a seasoned planter. Currently business affairs of the company are in the able hands of her daughter, Ms Ruchira Parshad, who is the Managing Director of the company.

Shakomato Tea Estate is located in the North Bank of Assam.


Role Brief

This is a full-time on-site role for a CMO (Chief Marketing Officer), located in Kolkata. The CMO will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Direct Customer handling, Auction Sales and communications, playing bridge between Buyers / Brokers and the Company. CMO will be leading CRM and Sales Team. CMO Shall be well versed with regular Tea Tasing and Tea Board returns submission

1.    Aligning with Sales Executive, train your team efficiently and oversee full sales operations.

2.    All Activities related to Private & Auction Sale.

3.    Contact Brokers for the bids on the basis of sample done to them.

4.    Getting Bids from Brokers and communicating same.

5.    Giving Counter Bids if require and after the deal is done, confirming same

6.    Selecting teas for dispatching them from Garden to Kolkata.

7.    After arrival to Kolkata, selecting invoices and sending them to auction-Printing Position

8.    Coordinating with Auctioneer regarding valuation and indicating price level at which we can sell.

9.    Checking Tax Invoice generated for Pvt & Auction Sale by Sales Executive.

10.  Full Responsibility of handling Auction, Auctioneers, Transporters, warehouse & other logistics.

11.  Coordinating with Auctioneers and buyers if any invoice has been selected for FSSAI Testing.

12.  Doing tasting with Madam and be aware about the quality.

13.  Coordinating with Brokers about what samples they have received and what they have send to their buyers. To assess if there is any delay in their offering part.

14.  Visit to Broker as and when required

15.  Visit to Auctioneer for tea tasting

16.  Creation of MIS Reports and presenting the same during Sales Meeting.

17.  Filing of Tea Board Return-Monthly


Qualifications

  • Expertise in Tea Sales, Auction Sales and Private Selling, Good connection with Buyers
  • Min 5 to 7+ Yrs of Experience in Tea
  • Age Limit - 40 Yrs
  • Experience in handling Sales Team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure
  • Open for travelling to meet buyers on behalf of Company
  • 6 Days week, 1 Week Off, 2nd & 4th Saturday Off
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Gsheet
  • Experience in Tee Board Returns filling
