Chief Manager - Internal Audit (Credit Risk) - Chennai

Job Purpose

The Internal Audit function has 3 main Verticals Corporate Audits, IT Audits, Area Audits; This profile would be a senior level position managing the Corporate level audits and reporting directly to the AVP- Business & Process Audits

Key Responsibilities

Credit Risk validation

• Performing audit of risk management domain specially credit risk
• Performing validation of credit models & testing of Credit BREs
• Performing credit risk analysis for product audits performed by the team

Core- Functional Responsibilities

• End to end project & team management of the Corporate level Audits including Audit report discussion with process owners/Sr. Management, Open Points follow up/tracking, audit report preparation and preparation of AC presentations
• Appropriate training/guidance to the team on functional aspects and audit approach/methodology
• Constant communication/exchange of ideas with peers (IT Audit Team & Area Audit Team)
• Ensuring proper workflow and documentation standards is adhered to by the team in the Audit system; Discussing with CAO for any additional feature/enhancement required in the Audit system
• Professional development of the team through regular feedbacks on the projects; discussing their performance appraisal with the CAO
• Regular interaction/liaising with other functions/process owners; keeping himself abreast with all the developments happening in the Company; similarly keeping abreast with all the regulatory and technological changes/developments happening in the Industry

Qualifications

CA / MBA (CA preferable)

Experience

Min 8-10 years of experience with excellent track record in the field of Audit and/or credit risk domain in a banking/NBFC organization

Functional Competencies

• Prior experience of risk-based audit would be preferred, however good underwriting experience (Retail, Rural, Commercial, etc) could also be considered
• Prior experience of credit risk model validation, excellent understanding of credit risk & enterprise risk and audit of BRE Models is must
