Chief Financial Officer

As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at our client, a high-growth fintech company in Bangalore, you will play a pivotal role in leading and scaling the finance function. With over 20 years of experience, including at least 8 years in leadership roles within NBFCs, you will bring deep financial expertise, governance acumen, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-evolving environment. Your responsibilities will include shaping the company's financial strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, and steering it towards profitable growth and long-term financial sustainability. You will oversee fundraising, investor relations, financial operations, audits, and regulatory engagement, requiring you to manage RBI audits, credit and risk governance, debt capital raise, and financial controls effectively. Your key responsibilities will encompass developing and executing financial strategy aligned with NBFC operations, enhancing governance frameworks, and implementing advanced reporting tools for data-driven decision-making. You will also manage fundraising activities across various instruments, build strong relationships with institutional lenders and investors, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee financial operations while driving automation and operational efficiency through ERP and BI tools. As a strategic advisor to the leadership team, you will present financial insights, forecasts, and regulatory updates at board and investor meetings, guiding the company's financial direction, capital allocation, and business priorities. Your role will also involve building and leading a high-performing finance team, emphasizing execution, agility, and functional excellence. To excel in this role, you should hold a CA and/or MBA in Finance from a reputed institution, have 15-20 years of progressive finance leadership experience, with a significant portion in NBFCs or regulated financial services. Your expertise should include strong knowledge of RBI NBFC regulations, fundraising capabilities, risk management, financial controls, and proficiency in ERP and BI tools. Additionally, your strategic mindset, execution capabilities, and excellent communication skills will be instrumental in influencing stakeholders across all levels.
