Job Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation Cooking

    : Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Chinese and Italian dishes to high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Menu Development

    : Assist in planning and developing new menu items, daily specials, and recipes that align with the restaurant's vision.
  • Food Safety Hygiene

    :
    • Ensure strict compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen areas, work surfaces, utensils, and equipment.
    • Monitor food storage and proper rotation of stock (following the FIFO rule) to minimize waste and spoilage.
    • Check the freshness and quality of ingredients and supplies upon delivery and prior to use.
  • Kitchen Operations Management

    :
    • Manage daily kitchen operations and collaborate with other staff members for seamless service delivery.
    • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff in food preparation and safety standards.
    • Monitor food costs, manage inventory levels, and order supplies as needed.
  • Quality Control

    : Ensure all dishes are prepared according to established recipes, portion sizes, and customer preferences, including accommodating allergies or special dietary requirements.
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience

    : Proven experience in a professional kitchen, with a specialization in Italian or Chinese cuisine (or both).
  • Culinary Knowledge

    : Deep understanding of specific cooking techniques (e.g., stir-frying, pasta preparation, use of authentic spices/ingredients), flavor profiles, and kitchen equipment for both cuisines.
  • Certifications

    : A culinary diploma or relevant certifications in food safety (e.g., HACCP guidelines) are often preferred.
  • Soft Skills
